Roaming Fraud Review

Scope:

Identify the level of roaming fraud and associated risks to which the operator was being exposed. This included evaluating the impact and effectiveness of the present roaming fraud management controls and initiatives in place in relation to the prevention and detection of roaming fraud.

Deliverable:

A broad range of recommendations were made to the client to enable them to significantly enhance their roaming fraud prevention and detection countermeasures. This included the deployment of specialist technology and the development of internal procedures, which took into account not only the financial considerations, but also the expected customer services issues.

Præsidium’s consultancy enabled the client to re-balance the disproportionate level of risk it was facing on its roaming service. The report enabled the client to quickly identify a number of quick wins to significantly reduce the ongoing roaming risk exposure and to prevent a re-occurrence of a large scale fraud incident.
