Network & IT Security includes the protection of communications networks, systems and platforms. While many operators have some security resource spread across different network elements or IT systems, it is still very unusual to find end-to-end network and IT security responsibility across any communications company. Operators have also learnt that the mere procurement of state-of-the-art security systems does not in itself necessarily provide protection against all significant threats.

Præsidium has developed a broad technical competence in all the key types of communications technologies, including Next Generation telecom networks, such as IP and broadband networks. Præsidium's approach involves identifying the types of network security risks prevalent within an operation and then analysing and determining their impact on both network operability and the business as a whole. This may involve penetration testing to ensure validation of security controls implemented.
